About

An executive, a researcher, and a builder.

I write, research, and build at the intersection of higher education technology, enterprise systems, AI, and digital transformation.

I've spent my career inside the parts of organizations that don't usually make it into keynotes — the ERP migrations, the governance committees, the platform decisions that quietly decide what a university or enterprise can do for the next decade.

This site is where I write that work down, build small tools around it, and study it formally as part of my doctoral research at California Tech. I'm interested in technology that compounds institutional capability rather than consuming it — and in the governance, operating models, and AI-native patterns that make that possible.

Practice

Executive leadership

Two decades inside higher education and enterprise technology organizations — leading platform strategy, ERP modernization, digital governance, and AI adoption programs. The work I care about most sits between architecture and operating model: the quiet decisions that decide whether a transformation actually transforms.

Research

The Executive PhD

I'm pursuing an Executive doctorate at California Tech, studying enterprise systems, ERP discontinuance, and the governance of AI inside large institutions. Doing the work and studying the work at the same time has changed how I think about both. It's slow on purpose.

Building

Why I build products

Building keeps the writing honest. Most of what I build is small — tools to think with, prototypes that test a thesis, agents that accelerate research. A few become real products. The rest become essays, or quietly disappear, which is also a result.
